Bible Reading Plan

Our mission is to develop biblically-grounded followers of Christ. More than anything we do as a ministry of the church, the best way for us to be growing as followers of Christ is to be reading the Bible daily.

Toward that end, we have a daily Bible reading plan so we can all be walking through Scripture together. Then, our regular pattern is for each Sunday's sermon to cover part or all of the coming week's reading. (Our preachers typically preach from the ESV.) Many of our small groups discuss understanding and application of both the most recent sermon and the week's Bible reading.

We are currently on a three-year walk through the Bible (2022–2024), reading through the books in alphabetical order (it's surprising how well the alphabetical order jumps back-and-forth between the Old and New Testaments!).

Here's the daily reading guide for 2023: Daily Reading Guide

Mediate on God's Word

As you are reading, here are some questions to answers about each passage you read:

  • What kind of God is God? What did I learn about God’s character and personality?
  • What does God value? What was His intention?
  • Where did we see Jesus in these verses?
  • Who are we? Is there a command to obey? A promise to claim? Standard to live by?
  • What is the personal application for our lives?

Scripture Memory

In addition to daily Bible reading, we are also working together on memorizing Scripture. Each month we have a new verse that we memorize together—from our kids to students to adults, we all work on the same verse each month.

Check out the fill list of monthly memory verses.
